About 15 minutes by car from the hotel you can reach Chamois, one of the first ski lifts in the Valtournenche valley. Chamois is the perfect place to learn to ski. The town is small, the slopes reach the square excluding the risk of losing or taking the wrong route.
The area offers tracks of various levels of difficulty, from the simplest to the most demanding; at lake Lod there is an area equipped for children and beginners with treadmills and a baby pitch.
The ski school instructors take care of children and adults by offering a wide range of courses: group and/or individual lessons in Nordic skiing, telemark and snowboarding.

For those who prefer not to put their skis on, but still enjoy the fairy-tale landscape of the whitewashed woods and in the snow, Chamois offers a wide range of walks or walks with snowshoes. There are well-trodden and signposted routes, of different lengths and difficulties, from the simplest and almost flat ones, suitable even for the less trained, to the more challenging and demanding ones. You can contact the expert guides for suggestions, directions or organize an accompanied tour. You can go towards La Magdeleine, or climb towards Col Cheneil and Champlong, or even tackle the climb from Buisson, along the old mule track. But even without wearing snowshoes, a peaceful walk through the woods and along all 7 hamlets of Chamois will offer the emotion of a silent and enchanted atmosphere, in a fairytale landscape.
