SKIING IN COURMAYEUR

Courmayeur is 60 km from the hotel, about 40 minutes by car on the motorway.

At the bottom of a basin dominated by the Mont Blanc chain, rises Courmayeur (1,224m) with the Courmayeur Mont Blanc Funivie ski area.
The slopes wind along two sides: Val Veny and Plan Chécrouit, to reach up to 2,755m on the Cresta d'Arp.
The area can be reached thanks to the two cable cars, located respectively in the capital (Courmayeur cable car) and in Entrèves (Val Veny cable car) and to a cable car that leaves from the hamlet of Dolonne (Dolonne cable car).
A large return slope, equipped with artificial snow, connects Plan Chécrouit to Dolonne, where there is a playground equipped with treadmills available to beginners and younger skiers (for a fee).
Artificial snow, produced for over 80% of the area, ensures quality snow on all slopes. Among the most important slopes, the Chécrouit slope, the International slope, also known as Bertolini, the Youla and the Gigante.

It is possible, even for non-skiers, to enjoy the wonderful panorama using the lifts enabled for pedestrian transport: the 3 perching lifts, the Maison Vieille chairlift, the Chécrouit gondola lift and the Youla and Arp cable cars.

For freeride lovers, fabulous off-piste itineraries with a view of Mont Blanc can be reached in the upper part of the area; off-piste enthusiasts can also try their hand at exciting descents in fresh snow along the numerous routes. Adventures to be experienced in the company of a mountain guide and individual safety devices.

Number of slopes: 33 of which 11 blue, 17 red and 5 black.
Ski lifts: 4 cable cars, 2 gondola lifts, 8 chair lifts, 3 surface lifts and 1 treadmill.

There is a Baby club for the little ones at Plan Chécrouit at the arrival of the Courmayeur cable car and Dolonne cable car.
The Snow Park is located in the Aretù area at 2,000 m in the ski area. Complete with a progressive area with easy to tackle rails, perfect for beginners; an area with more challenging rails for experienced riders, a 6-8m jump line and various jibbing facilities.
The Courmayeur cable car remains open every evening until midnight to allow après-ski lovers to linger at high altitude enjoying an aperitif or dinner, enjoying the sunset on the snow and the lights of the town from above.
