RAFTING, HYDROSPEED, KAYAK AND CANOE

From April to September
From April to September , the white waters of the Dora Baltea and the alpine streams of the Valle d'Aosta reserve exciting descents, with rapids and natural slides, for rafting, hydrospeed, canyoning, kayak and canoe enthusiasts.
Rafting consists of descending a river course aboard rafts. Specialized guides offer beginners and enthusiasts rafting proposals of varying difficulty and duration, with routes for children and teenagers.
Hydrospeed , similar to canyoning , on the other hand uses a kind of board with which the waters of rivers and streams are tackled with the body free.
The river kayak (rounded keel) is easy to handle and suitable for quick and precise maneuvers in short spaces. The kayak is almost always made of polyethylene, very resistant to shocks, and is maneuvered sitting in the cockpit.
The Canadian canoe is a solid, stable boat, suitable for transporting several people. The single-blade paddle allows a powerful but asymmetrical thrust, therefore the canadian is usually pushed by two or more well-matched rowers.
The Canadian is slower than the kayak, precisely because it is more stable, but offers greater comfort; being generally open, it is less suitable for facing demanding waves and rapids.
